Summary:

Nurph is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to take charge of the existing codebase, to evaluate and choose the right technologies for our architecture, to develop exciting new features on the product roadmap, and to create workflows with which other developers can easily join us in building out Nurph.

You'll most likely be fluent in Ruby, JavaScript, the Rails framework, jQuery, TDD, scaling, MySQL, Unix, administrating production servers, the Twitter API, and have the ability to quickly pick up Node.js and Redis. However, a willingness to learn new skills, in combination with a promising resume, will outweigh the need for years of experience in one particular technology. Experience with and passion for Rails & JavaScript, writing public facing APIs, choosing the right tool for the job, and fast-past startup environments, will play a vital part in being the Chief Technology Officer of Nurph.

We're open to remote working opportunities, but an ideal candidate will probably be based in or around London. The early days will involve close collaboration with the current two-man team of @NeilCauldwell (the full-time founder working across business, design, and development) and @ElliottKember (part-time Rails & JavaScript contractor), so you'll need to be comfortable working in a small team to start with. The contract will start on a full-time, 3 to 4 month time frame and will create a foundation for a long term position at Nurph.
